Little League Baseball
As members of Little League Baseball, the Hawkesbury Minor Baseball Association offers the players ages 5 up to 19 the opportunity to learn and play the great game of baseball. Our minor baseball association usually kicks off with indoors practices early in the year to teach the basics and act as a refresher and preparation for returning players.
Seasons
Our outdoors seasons run from May until the end of August, usually consisting of a spring season, and summer season for the minor category and up. In all divisions, teams usually play one home game and one away game per week. Opposing teams vary from year to year, based on how many teams are available to play against locally.
Minor
The minor division plays almost exclusively in the Prescott-Russell league. Meaning travel is mostly limited to Clarence Creek.
Major
The major division usually will interlock with the Carleton-Russell league to allow for more teams during the spring season. During the summer season, we might interlock with the other Ottawa District 6 leagues.
Junior, Senior and U19
The older divisions find themselves interlocking with the Ottawa District 6 and District 2 leagues for both the spring and summer seasons, allowing for a large pool of teams to compete against.
T-Ball
Our T-Ball players take to the field every Monday evening, from early May to mid-July under the tutelage of Michel Landriault of the Outaouais Baseball Academy.
Volunteers
Of course, none of this is possible with our many volunteers to help and assist in different ways. We are continuously looking for people willing to donate some of their time to help us in various capacities. We continually require the assistance of people to manage the association, help coach the players, and assist with various team duties.
Last but not least, we always seek volunteers with our various fundraising events that allow us to keep the costs of baseball in our community at their lowest possible levels.
